“I had a great experience adopting from the Maclean Cameron Center. The staff was very kind, helpful, and honest about each cat and their story when they were introducing them to me. 

I really appreciated the honesty, and felt like I was getting all the information I needed. I met with two cats, and it was hard to decide because I had recently lost my cat of 18 years. I decided on a little grey cat, named Carol. She was a rescue, so they didn’t have a lot of information on her previous life. They believed her to be around 5 years old, and she was already spayed when I adopted her. 

I just adore her, she is a HOOT! She is an indoor cat, and doesn’t go outside, but sits each day at the window and looks out at the squirrels and birds and does her chirping sounds at them. She was pretty tiny when we adopted her, but she is pretty chunky now! That’s okay, that just means she is spoiled and happy. When I took her home, the staff sent a little string toy that was her “favorite” so she could have it with her at her new home. 

The first night I brought her home, she took that little toy with her all the way to bed! She dragged it from the other side of the house, all the way to my bed. It was the funniest thing, and she continues to do it each night. I feel like she remembers it from the Center, and she loves it. I just love her so much, she is a hoot.”
