1,000 Paws of Great Falls – Cheddar

“We knew Cheddar was the cat for us from the first few minutes we met him at the shelter. He was instantly playful and loving. Living in Helena, we had to take Cheddar on a little joy ride on his first day of living with us. He cried the whole hour and a half car ride, then hid under the couch when we got him home. I was worried he wouldn’t forgive me, but within less than an hour he came out from under the couch to get some pets. 

Cheddar came to us as an indoor cat with a 1/4 cup cat food twice/day regimen. He didn’t like this very much and got pretty hungry and bored during the nights. He would jump around on our dressers and nightstands knocking things off onto the floor to wake us up for food. Since then, he’s enjoyed unlimited access to food and the outdoors. We trained him to use the doggy door so he can come and go as he pleases. He’s got a pretty big yard to hang out in. He loves to play with the other neighborhood cats and jump around scaring the deer and squirrels in our yard. Cheddar has a little bench outside his doggy door that he likes to sit on and watch for us whenever we’ve left him home alone. We’ll drive up into the driveway and see him sitting there waiting. Then he expects to be let in through the human door!

Cheddar is a very affectionate cat. He loves to cuddle and lets us rub his tummy! He sleeps with us on our bed, head on the pillow and sprawled out like a human. We’ve truly never met a more loving cat. We are blessed to share our home with him.”
