1,000 Paws of Great Falls – Faith
“My family and I adopted Faith in July of 2020. It started with me thinking “I think I want a dog”. I hopped online and started looking at animals that are available in my area, and I found Faith. I went down to Maclean Cameron Animal Adoption Center before they closed to see if I could get everything worked out so my kids and I could meet her and hopefully bring her home. The paperwork portion was easy, I matched with Faith! The only things left were for my kids and I to meet her and to get approval from my landlord since I rent, except it was a Saturday and I had to wait for my landlord to be in office. Tuesday morning as soon as Maclean Cameron Animal Adoption Center opened, I packed up my kids and headed to meet Faith. On my first meeting, I thought she was a beautiful dog, was good with my kids and was snack driven, still is. The longer I was around her, the more I knew I wasn’t leaving without her. So, I let them know I was ready to take Faith to her fur-ever home. Went up front, got everything squared away and home we went.
Having Faith has been an awesome experience, when talking about her to others, I always say that I hit the jackpot when I adopted her. She fits in with our family perfectly! We all learned each other’s routines quickly, I found her favorite snack, which is everything, especially anything with peanut butter. She is amazing with other dogs, she absolutely hates water, but doesn’t mind a bath, and she has this weird obsession with silicone. I don’t understand it, but she will seek it out if it’s in the house. Baby bottle nipples, pacifiers, the silicon on the CPAP masks, anything with silicone she will find it. However, she doesn’t chew on anything else that wasn’t given to her, and not often does she eat things she shouldn’t. She also thinks she’s a lap dog and is the friendliest attention seeking dog I have ever met.
Adopting Faith was the best decision I ever made, she is my kids’ best friend, she follows my daughter wherever she goes, I can’t get her to sleep anywhere else but her bed. Faith will run and play with the kids out in the yard all day long sun or snow. Faith lays at my feet while I work all day from home, and often will lay with me on the couch when she is not busy with the kids. We may not have been her first family, but we are her fur-ever family!”
