1,000 Paws of Great Falls – Lila

“I first met Lila (formerly Julie) in December 2020. I just purchased my first home and wanted to share the space with a cat in need. I met a few other wonderful felines ready for adoption, but I didn’t click with any of them the way I clicked with Lila.

Lila made eye contact with me during my last walk through Maclean Cameron. This shorthaired orange tabby had the sweetest eyes. I walked backwards and forwards several times, and she never broke her gaze. The moment she put her little head in my hand, I knew we were meant for each other.

Lila (also known as “The Queen”) has lived with me for over a year. She was shy her first few days at home and wouldn’t break out of her hiding place until the middle of night. Now, the Queen owns every inch of her castle. She loves surveying the land from the comfort of ALL the windows, chirping at the birds and other little furry creatures in the area. She naps on any clothes left outside my closet and has mastered hunting down treats in hiding. She is unbelievably soft and precious. My kitty allergic friends have a hard time keeping their distances.

I’m so lucky Lila chose me to be hers. She is the light of my days and nights and I hope she feels the love reciprocated.”
