1,000 Paws of Great Falls – Kaylee

“We adopted Kaylee in early November. I never thought we would ever have a cat because I’m not a big fan of them. But one day, my husband said that he wanted a cat and that he would take one home. After a little thought, I told him that if we did get a cat, I wanted to be the one to pick it out. So I went to the Maclean-Cameron website to take a look at who they had available for adoption.

The moment I saw Kaylee’s photo it was like love at first sight! I sent her photo to my husband asked if we could get her- he said okay. So I went to the Center immediately to take a look at her in person. However, she was hiding. So I went back home to complete the adoption form and returned the next day to meet her. And no doubt, we decided to adopt her!

When we brought her home, she was very shy and kept hiding in her safe room the first few days. I spent hours and hours sitting on the floor with her and finally she opened up to me, I still remember the moment when she fell asleep in my arms… I don’t even have words to describe that feeling! Anyway, Kaylee is enjoying her life in our house. She even plays with her brother, Murphy, our blue heeler mix. (Kaylee still thinks he’s annoying though.) Obviously she became the queen in our house!
