1,000 Paws of Great Falls – Minnie

“We adopted our cat, Minnie, in August 2020. Our adoption experience was great. The staff was professional, caring, and kind. What I liked as that we had to take a survey/quiz to see if the cat we wanted was compatible with us. This made us feel that they really cared about their animals and wanted to make sure they were going to a good home. Also, the lady that handled our cat Minnie was amazing. when she brought her in to meet us, I could tell the staff member really loved the animals that were in there. She told us how sweet and loving Minnie was and she was right.

On the first day we brought her home, she didn’t want anything to do with us. She was scared and stayed in our bathroom the first night. We gave her the space she needed to let her get comfortable on her own. She soon got curious and explored her new environment. She now owns everything. One of the sweetest things she does is that she runs to our front door to greet me when I come home from work.

Before the adoption, I didn’t want another cat. Our last cat had cancer, and had passed away. It was like loosing a child for me. But my mom wanted a new cat and a year later, we got Minnie. We fell in love with her right away. She has filled a void in my heart, as well as my mom’s heart. I am so thankful that my mom talked me into getting another cat, because Minnie has made our lives better and we love how sweet she is.

Minnie likes watching the Animal Planet, and “The Late Late Show with James Corden” with us every night. She also likes feet! She likes to smell and rub her head on our feet! Looking out the windows and watching the birds and squirrels go by is another one of her hobbies. We also have discovered that she can jump really high. One of her favorite spots is on top of our kitchen cabinets. She loves to observe us and nap up there. She also has a lot to say, and my mom and I have conversations with her all day and night.”
