1,000 Paws of Great Falls – Qi’ra

“We adopted Qi’ra in 2020 on our wedding anniversary. We actually weren’t necessarily planning on taking home a cat that day. We had lost our cat Nugget to cancer that summer, and we wanted to provide a home to another kitty who needed one. Our other cat had also been really sad and lonely after his friend passed away, so we wanted a companion for him.

As we were walking around at the Maclean-Cameron, this one cat was being really playful with us through the window and we just fell in love with her. She had been a feral cat and was considered less adoptable because she was still really scared and didn’t like to be handled. We met with her and decided we wanted to put in the work to give her a safe home where she could be happy.

She warmed up to us in just a few days, and now she’s the cuddliest, sweetest kitty we’ve ever had and she adores our corgi. She follows her around and rubs on her and she has also taken the kitten we adopted recently under her wing as her own.

She’s the best and we’re so glad she’s part of our family now.”
