“I was feeling down and out over Christmas as I was surfing through pictures of all the cats Maclean-Cameron had available for adoption- specifically looking for a fluffy, orange kitty. Then I came across a picture of a fluffy, black kitty named Phantom. I couldn’t stop thinking about how adorable he was! I lost my orange kitty back in 2018 and then I lost my black one this last June. My heart was so broken (and still is when I think of them). When I went to visit him for the first time, I fell in love! He was like an exact combination of those two loves I had lost. He was a playful and sweet little love-bug.
I wasn’t able to adopt him right away because I thought it would be best to be home over the long weekend so he wasn’t alone. I’m pretty sure I drove the gal at the front desk nuts with all of my emails, worried that someone would adopt him before I could. Finally, I was able to fill out the paperwork, pay on my lunch break, and then pick him up that evening after work.
He could not be a more perfect fit for my fur-family. He is so much fun to play with. Hide and seek is his favorite! He loves to take off and slide across the laminate floor. He gets along great with my other cats and dogs.
I’m so thankful I found him. He is exactly what I needed to heal my heart. I’ve renamed him ‘Remy’ and he started responding to that name rather quickly. Sometimes I even call him ‘Phantom-Remy’!”
