"I lost my best friend in May of 2023 and he left a big, cat-shaped hole in my heart. I still miss him every day, but I wasn't looking to fill the void any time soon. If at all. That following September, though, a friend sent me a picture of Sarabi (originally Paisley). She looked like a tiny replica of my beautiful boy. Naturally, I had to go see her. I don't normally adopt kittens, but I felt an instant connection. She'll never replace the one I lost and I don't expect her to. In the meantime, she makes me smile while I continue to heal.

The best way to describe Sarabi is sweet and spicy. She's not quite a kitten anymore, but her favorite pastime is still diving into my lap with a toy for me to throw. She tears around the house, making bird noises, before bringing it back. Amusingly, her favorite toys are crinkled up wrappers. She'd play fetch for hours, if I let her. She's tenacious when she thinks it's time to play.

As much of a little terror as she can be, she's equally affectionate. When she's done wreaking havoc, she'll curl up on my lap and snuggle. It's funny that she purrs like a freight train, but her meow is more of a chirp. All her goofy antics and lovey moments help keep my spirits up. Our house is truly blessed to have her in it. (She'll even tell you so.)"
