1,000 Paws of Great Falls – Teddy

“Teddy feels like he’s been in our family forever. He’s a gentle, congenial, affectionate old guy, and he knows his mind. He’s taken over Sam’s overstuffed snuggle chair even though Sam and I have offered him a number of cozy options….He’ll have none of it. Sam is adjusting fine. Although there is a strong independence streak in both of them, they hang out easily and team up with energy when another dog walks by. They drink out of the same bowl and will clean up my dinner plate together with no grumblings. Teddy LOVES the dog park, is moving VERY hesitantly toward swimming when I take him to lakes or rivers, and is walking further every day without weakness. He finds me EVERY night at dinner time and paws or stares at me (if I’m working) until I get with it.  

The MCAAC staff is stellar. Each one was kind, empathetic, proficient, and clear sighted. They supplied me with just the right amount of patience and pertinent information regarding Teddy’s personality, history, and needs. They were correct on all counts, and never made me feel my hesitancies and concerns weren’t valid. They were Teddy’s cheerleaders, but allowed me to come to my decision without any pressure. I am truly impressed and grateful for their help. What they all do takes a strong heart and equally strong commitment to these animals in need, and I am just so grateful that they are there rescuing, loving, and repeating.”
