We thank you for your interest in volunteering with us! We rely on our dedicated volunteers to help us care for the animals that come through our doors each year. There are so many different opportunities for our volunteers to participate in, no many what your skill or experience is, we will have a place for you!

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Volunteers must be at least ten years or older to Volunteer at the Center.
  • Youth Volunteers (Ages 16-17) are allowed to volunteer without supervision. However, a parent or legal guardian must be present if the youth wishes        to be around dogs. 
  • Adults (Ages 18+) may help with all volunteer opportunities at the Center. Volunteers must complete both an orientation and an animal handling                training to handle dogs and/or cats

Waggin' Tails Youth Volunteer Group

Maclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center is committed to fostering a caring community for animals by providing shelter, advancing animal welfare, and promoting the bond between animals and humans through innovative programs education and service.

Part of our education program and mission is getting kids in our community involved in our Center with hands-on experience, education camps and more. Waggin' Tails is our Youth Volunteer Group that gives kids the opportunity to show the animals in our care love and affection, learn skills to work together for a greater cause, and help our Center fundraise for the welfare of our animals.

Waggin' Tails meets at 3:45 PM one Friday every month at our Center. The youth and parents involved in this program are welcomed and encouraged to stop by anytime are Center is open and volunteer!
